Our Activities

Swach Bharat Abhiyan

ISRSD participated in Swach bharat Abhiyan at Bustand Jalna, Railwaystation and some other places in Jalna. We have discussed about importance of cleanness and relation with health. All staff of ISRSD and Depo Manager and also ST staff participated in this program.

Promotion of Organic Agriculture

ISRSD has involved women as primary actors in development processes, ISRSD's organic agriculture training programmes are primarily addressed to women farmers and leaders of rural women's groups. Around 1000 organic farmers have been trained so far by ISRSD through participatory learning sessions and are practicing organic methods of farming in their farm.

Home Gardens : ISRSD has promoted organic home gardens with the Organic Agriculture has been the mainstay as the organization works with the rural poor who are predominantly involved in agriculture as their main source of livelihood. Therefore, all development interventions are centered around farming and the local environment enrichment. In this period. The NGO were trained on practical steps to produce organic and biodynamic manures, develop biological pest management formulations and methods, and appropriate soil fertility measures. ISRSD periodically trains farmer trainers in Jalna. These farmer trainers who are mostly women farmers conduct workshops and practical demonstrations to transfer the knowledge on organic farming.

Biodiversity Conservation and Environment Day program

ISRSD entered into traditional landraces – crops, marine life, grasslands, and forest plants in Jalna dist.

Towards the objective of conservation of biodiversity Jalna Dist, ISRSD strengthened its seed banks in the seed districts with added number of crop varieties and more number of farmers participating in the maintenance of the seed banks. The village volunteers who maintain the seed banks keep records on the seed varieties, the qualities, and the farmers involved. The seed banks facilitate exchange of native seeds among the farmers.

ISRSD organized several workshops in the village level to promote the concept of seed banks, importance of biodiversity conservation, and the potential of Protection of Plant Varieties.

Women farmers meetings on Environment Day

Tree Plantation : ISRSD planted 3000 trees in different villages in the schools Mahila mandal members participated in the tree plantation program.

Women’s Day Programs : Women’s day was celebrated on 8th March at Kajla Dist Jalna Theam was “Beti Bachav”. And Mahila Sabalikaran” The mahila mandal organized workshop on women rights. Also we organized rally at village level.

Rally on Women’s Day program : ISRSD organize workshop on Women’s Day program cooperation with Gramin Bank and NABARD at Kajala. More than 200 women attaended workshop

Health Camps

In Jalna and Aurangabad dist we organized health camp. We established 4 Drop in center(DIC) and we regularly organized health camp. DIC established in focal area function as health centres providing regular primary health care and referral services. Monthly health programmes are important features of the health care programme. We done STI and HIV testing through camp with cooperation with Our appointed Doctor, ICTC counselor and Lab technicians.

Kala Pathak Programs

We have organized Kalapathak program awareness on HIV/AIDS for the migrant workers in Jalna and Auranagabad Dist.

Kala Pathak Programs

On this occasion of world child we have organized the one day indoor program for HIV/AIDS infected children’s at our NGO’s office.. We arranged open session on problems of HIV-AIDS and how to come out from this.

Impact Monitoring and Participatory Planning

The organization continues to make its programmes effective through regular monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. To gather its impact so far and to strategize further interventions, Participatory Rural Appraisals (PRA) was conducted in selected villages of Jalna district, after a training and common understanding on the PRA methods and in analysis of the results. Together with ISRSD staff, forty representatives from NGOs, community workers, and farmers.

The topics for learning included the various tools of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Situational Analysis and Goal Establishment (SAGE), and Performance Assessment of Groups (PAG). The PRA exercise was practically conducted in different village in groups and the results were presented in the workshop.
